Beautiful Burgos

Burgos; Day 16-17; 24 km/15 miles

We met up with Ziggy and Susan who we’ve run into since the 3rd or 4th day and walked with them most of the way to Burgos…we left them on the outskirts and continued following the river…we came to a bridge and were discussing whether to cross…and elderly Spaniard who spoke no English asked us where we were going…we showed him our hotel and he said to follow him…he became our Angel as he wouldn’t leave us until he was quite sure that we understood to pass 3 bridges…we would see the Cathedral, go through the arch and, our destination would be to the left…he even asked us if we were hungry because he was going to take us to a cafe if we were…we had already had lunch so we thanked him…we are enjoying a day of rest, a visit to the Cathedral, a walk to a Castle and dinner…posting lots of photos…Buen Camino
